There are several elements to our IT executive CPD Programme including short courses, workshops and executive coaching.

Why continuing professional development (CPD) is so vital

Professional life is constantly evolving. That is why most professionals find that their knowledge and skills get out of date if they are not topped-up occasionally. The IT profession is up there with surgery and other high-tech medical techniques as the fastest moving of all.

In our programme we’re constantly looking at the changing demands of the effective development and provision of information services. This is paramount for IT executives and their teams, ensuring they remain effective and preparing them for their future. It is also absolutely critical for the organisations they are serving.

How it works for you

Our CPD training and coaching are designed to be flexible, causing the minimum of disruption. Big career topics like business leadership and engagement are best tackled through short, intense courses in our academy programmes. Specific IT executive skills are most easily gained through 1-day workshops followed by immediate on the job working. Key career stages such as new roles, big promotions, new sourcing arrangements, are supported through executive coaching.

In all cases we are tightly focused on the development and performance of IT executives. Participants have to spend little energy relating what they are learning to their professional roles: it’s immediately relevant and obvious!

How you can access the CPD modules

We operate various schemes, designed to give clients the focus and flexibility they need. We operate a public IT Executive Academy Programme in which we constantly refine, update and evolve our courses and workshops. These are open programmes, open to IT executives of all grades.

We also create and support in-company IT executive academy programmes for our larger clients. These can be short, in-company workshops or a larger and bespoke series of training, workshops and coaching  designed to fit particular organisational needs. We can deliver these on a global basis.

Open Programme workshop pricing

There are three main routes into our London-based open workshops.:

• Since 2010, CIO Pocket MBA graduates are entitled to a free workshop of their choice and entry into subsequent workshops at 50% of the normal fee (minimum four seats). These seats are transferable between workshops and currently have no time limit.

• Other IT executives can buy books of 6-tickets for the price of five. These tickets are transferable between workshops and people and currently have no time limit.

• One-off entry for any of the CPD workshops is £595. Tickets are transferable between qualifying executives for the named event only.

CIO Master-Class launch offer

In the autumn of 2011 we are launching a specialist series of master-class skills workshops given by former and practicing CIOs. Entry to these workshops is through the usual routes or participants may attend all four 2011 master-classes (September – December) for the price of three (25% percent trial discount).
